FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Thank you for your interest in The Home Depot Foundation. Our mission is to improve the homes and lives of U.S. military veterans and their families. Our programs are designed to support nonprofit organizations that address the housing needs of veterans. Please see below for some frequently asked questions about our work and eligibility criteria for our programs:

Are you an individual seeking help?

The Foundation makes donations only to charities and is unable to provide donations directly to individuals. Assistance we can provide, whether financial or technical can only be awarded to nonprofit public charitable organizations that are exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. If you are a veteran seeking help with your housing, please contact our National Partners or the Veterans Administration for assistance.

Are you a nonprofit seeking funding for a Volunteer Project?

We invite any eligible nonprofit to apply for our Community Impact Grant program. Competitive requests will align with our mission to ensure every veteran has a safe place to call home.

Are you seeking a sponsorship, academic or travel scholarship, or support for a fundraising event, such as a silent auction?

The Home Depot Foundation does not award program or event sponsorships, support Capital Campaigns or provide gift cards to fundraising events. To request a sponsorship from The Home Depot, please visit www.homedepotproposals.com.

Are you in need of a product donation?

We do not make one-time donations of product. If you are a nonprofit interested in being a part of the Framing Hope product donation program in partnership with a local The Home Depot store in your area, please contact HomeDepot@good360.org for more information.

Are you seeking an operating donation for your nonprofit?

We do not make donations for operating funds.
